David and I spent practically all day yesterday working in the yard. We have been trying to do some of that spring clean up after winter, that always faces you in the north east. It is amazing how the time passes so quickly when working on a project. We were both trying to accomplish so much, that even taking a break for lunch was difficult. I have to admit, however, that sitting in the sun on the deck, watching and listening to the birds was wonderful. So much so that it was a chore to get up and going again. I hate to mention it, but the old body is not use to all this yard work. I moaned and groaned a "tad" when I got up from the chair and started to move. Barbara had mowed the lawn on Saturday and David was doing all the edging while I was trying to clean weeds from around the trees. The temperature here was in the mid 70's but the sun seems to be a little more intense here. It was a wonderful day to be outside.
We called it quits around 2:30pm and I hopped in the outdoor shower for a quick clean up. I love this outdoor shower - no shower walls to clean! Robert is not as excited about it. He finally decided to try it today and said it was much too cold - what a woos!! (I don't know how to spell it).
David and I had decided to surprise Barbara and cook dinner. We hopped in his truck and headed into town to buy some fresh fish. Heading into town takes all of five minutes, so he took me for a short sight seeing tour along the way. I have to admit the fish was fabulous and Barbara was thrilled not to have to come home from work and cook. Stuffed and content - like babies - we sat around and visited the rest of the evening. No pictures yesterday - just hard work - maybe today. We are suppose to have another lovely day. There was no fog this morning - just lots of sunshine and clear skies.
