GOD BLESS TEXANS AND TEXAS

Yea! We had a call from Jason at the Ford dealership around 10: 30am on Friday to let us know that the truck was done. They sent a courtesy car over to pick Robert up and I stayed to get the 5th wheel "buttoned" up and ready to go when he got back. We were hooked up and on our way by 11:30am and non too soon. So what was the use of taking a shower this morning! God bless Texans for putting up with this humidity and heat in the summer - 68% humidity 80 degrees in the 5th wheel - you can have it. Thank you to the owners of the KOA in Mount Pleasant for not charging us for an another day. Check out time was 11am, but Bob explained our situation with the truck and they said no problem. I took a few pictures of the KOA park. They put us in a nice big pull threw at the back of the park - looking off to the pond and large grassy area. We went a whopping 55 miles Wednesday. We hope to do much better today and make it to Maumelle, Arkansas. We'll see what happens. We drove through some rolling hills and passed some large cattle ranches on our way to the border of Texas and Arkansas. Ran into a few light showers and cloudy weather, but the truck is running well and everything looks good for meeting our destination today. We crossed into Arkansas at Texarkana at 12:45pm.
We crossed the Arkansas River and arrived at Michelle, Anthony and David's home at 3:30pm. We caught Anthony at home working in the office and had a nice visit with him while we waited for Michelle to get home from work at 5:30pm with David. We had not seen Michelle and Anthony since their wedding and had never met David. They have a beautiful brick home in Maumelle and they talked us into parking the 5th wheel in their driveway while we were there for the weekend. We went out to dinner that evening and they took us for a tour of Little Rock at night. They are revitalizing the downtown area and it was busy with people all over - there was a car show going on, stores were open, etc. David had fallen asleep in the car and we called it a night. We headed back to the house and fell into our bed, two exhausted old duffers, by 10pm.
