SIGHTSEEING IN WASHINGTON DC

After attending a meeting at Cherry Hill Campgrounds, where we are staying, about things to see and do in Washington DC, we decided to take a 2 day bus tour that hits all the highlights and allows us to get off and on at each site for further investigation. We went to the park office and bought our tickets. After we got back to the 5th wheel, we had another severe weather warning and soon had a severe storm with thunder, lightening and even hail about dime to quarter size pelting the RV. It was really loud inside and we hoped that it was causing no damage to the 5th wheel or truck. It passed very quickly and we didn't suffer any damage.
This AM we caught a bus from here to Union Station at 6:45am and caught our 'Big Red Tour Bus' at 9:00AM. We got off at Arlington National Cemetery and the National Air and Space Museum. There was so much to see and we took SO many pictures that by the time we got back to the RV park, we were too tired to do a blog. So I just put this on to let everyone know we're still alive. Judy is captioning the pictures and tomorrow we hope to hit the Lincoln Memorial, The Vietnam Memorial, and the Smithsonian. Then we'll see how much time we've got left. We'll post some new pictures ASAP.
