Yesterday was a fun filled day. I woke up early - so what's new - and headed out for a walk. I took advantage of the walking paths that wind around the homes in the area that Michelle and Anthony live in. It was a beautiful morning - clear, cool and - top most - no humidity. I just love all the brick homes, green grass, lots of trees and all the birds. They have blue birds, cardinals and a lot that I did not recognize. It was wonderful to walk and enjoy the morning. I passed sweet smelling honeysuckle bushes and roses that were in bloom. Michelle and Anthony wanted to take us back to the farmers market in Little Rock to look look around and pick up some fresh vegetables. We climbed into Anthony's car after breakfast and headed back into Little Rock. We spent the morning wandering through the Farmer's Market, the Market Hall where permanent merchants sell freshly baked bread, pasties, jewelry and all types of hand made items. The Farmer's Market is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays and it was very busy this Saturday. The River Market District was once a derelict warehouse area until it was renovated in 1996. It's a very popular tourist area during the day and night spot in the evening. David managed to coax his dad into buying him a homemade cupcake - which he thoroughly enjoyed as you can see by the picture. Actually he may have ended up with more frosting on his face than in his tummy!

He is a cutie pie and a real charmer. When we finally got tired of walking, we decided to take a ride on the electric trolley that gives you a tour of some of the downtown area and sites in Little Rock. The trolley has beautiful hard wood and the conductor was very informative, describing varying sites and landmarks. He even let David ring varying bells and whistles and pull the lever on the money collecting machine. David thought that was great fun.

We had a great time. The day was just ideal. We could not have wished for better - sunny, warm and clear blue skies - a much appreciated change from the humidity and heat in Texas. We headed back to the house and while David took a nap, Anthony tossed some burgers on the grill for lunch. We spent the rest of the afternoon and evening sitting in their back yard, enjoying the beautiful day and catching up on all the news. I played soccer with David and cars and he and Robert acted silly and made "goofy" faces at me when I tried to take their picture.

Before we knew it, it was 7:00pm. It is difficult to keep track of the time here because it is darker in the morning and lighter later in the evening. This area is on central daylight time. Anthony cooked the fresh corn on the cob, that we picked up at the farmers market, on the grill for dinner. He has a technique for doing it and it comes out perfect - juicy, tasty and not burned like ours does. It was excellent. Anthony and Robert were still hopping back and forth between the house and the 5th wheel trying to get us hooked up to the high speed internet - never say die was their motto, however at about 10:30pm we all called it quits for the day. David was so cute. When I told him I was tired and going over to go to bed in the 5th wheel he told me I could lay down with him and share his pillow. As we were heading out the door, he was asking his mom if we "were going over to sleep in the hot wheel". A perfect ending to a wonderful day. Here are a few more pictured. Bob has not had time to put the new pictures on the slide show yet.
