We woke up this morning to 57° in the 5th wheel. Not a good start to the day - coffee pot was toast for some reason - no coffee for "Grumpy Bear" when he got up!! Off to WalMart for a new coffee pot and Subway for COFFEE. We were on the road by 6:55AM. So much for a relaxing day. The 1st vehicle that passed us after we got on the Interstate was the "Border Patrol". Everyone's complaining about Arizona's new law but Interstate 10 in NM is crawling with Border Patrol. We even had to stop at 2 checkpoints and answer questions about our citizenship. Stopped at Love's and got diesel. Much higher priced than Arizona. Drove until about 10:00AM when we stopped at Camping World in Anthony, TX. Bob needs some syrup for his Soda Stream and could only get 1 bottle of Diet at Mesa CW so thought we'd try there. No luck. They don't carry it there. Stopped at a rest stop near there in TX and had lunch. Bob let a little air out of the trailer tires. They were up to about 90lbs and he was a little worried so he set them at 85lbs. The trip through NM and TX has been pretty boring and the only thing interesting was we started seeing a lot of oil wells when we got to Odessa and refineries around Midland. You'd think with all the oil here gas and diesel would be cheaper than it is. We pulled into a truck stop in Midland, TX where we parked way in the back and will spend the night. No pictures today.

We just made that trip on I-10 about a month ago. Didn't think we would ever get through Texas, it was pretty until we went through San Antonio, then BORING. I thought AZ was scarey, all those trails in the desert and border patrol. I couldn't wait to get out of there either. Then when we got to CA and we were sitting outside having a little happy hour and the ground started rolling, yep, an earthquake south of us. So this has truely been an adventure so far. :)
Happy Trails,
Chris
