GOOD OLD WALMART

After many little irritating problems(nothing major), just the things that make men curse, we were packed up, hooked up, tanks emptied and heading out the gate in Stephanie and Rob's yard at 10:30am. I'm afraid it was a sad goodbye on our part. I had really enjoyed "hanging out" with Connor and Aiden. Connor had come over before school to ask if I could pick him up at he bus stop - he had forgotten that we were leaving - and he gave me a big hug before he headed to school. We gave Stephanie, Rob, Aiden and Sean hugs before we pulled out, wished them all a happy summer and told them we would see them all in he fall. It was tough to leave.
We had a pretty uneventful trip today. Interstate 10 is quite boring and we each drove a little to break up the monotony. We crossed the Continental Divide - elevation 4585 feet at around 3:45pm. Just after we crossed into New Mexico from Arizona, we started seeing border patrols frequently on I-10. We decided call it a day around 5:00pm and pulled into our good old standby, overnight accommodation - the local Walmart parking lot in Demming, NM. As much as we complain about Walmart, they always come through for parking in a pinch! Obviously we were not the only ones who had that idea. We ended up pulling in next to four other RV's in this open area and there was one behind us and two on the opposite side of us. Can't get Fox on the TV so we'll miss 24. Somebody let us know what happens!!
