First, we were glad to see from their blogs that Paige, Dave and Scott made it back to Washington State without any incidents. We hope you all have a wonderful summer. As I've mentioned in previous blogs, we have been having some phenomenal weather here on Cape Cod and it is suppose to continue through Memorial Day. I'm loving it!
Robert finally solved our missing mail issue. After calling Thunder Mountain again yesterday, he found out that they did send our mail out last Thursday. The only problem - they sent is to Moose Pass, Alaska - can you believe it! Robert had called and given them the address here but who knows what happened - lack of communication somewhere. I will admit that Robert stayed fairly calm on the phone and at least we know where it is. After getting off the phone with Thunder Mountain, he put in a call to Marsha at the Post Office in Moose Pass. Fortunately, the envelope with our mail had just arrived there that morning. She is going to forward it on to my sister-in-law in Fort Edward, New York. At least we are confident that Marsha will make sure that it gets there. It should arrive around the same time that we do. Moose Pass is so small that Marsha had remembered us from last summer and thought we were coming back again this year. She told Robert that it was in the high 70's there, sunny, flowers were blooming - a wonderful spring day.
On another note, the camera was still acting up yesterday and I wasn't able to take any pictures. We are now considering purchasing a new one rather than going through the hassle of sending this one in for repairs. It's a flip of the coin as to which way to go. We are leaning toward new, since it might cost more to repair the old one at this stage of the game. In the mean time, I'm a little frustrated that we can take pictures, but not easily.
I'm not sure what we are doing today. I spent yesterday morning spreading cedar mulch around the base of the trees and working around in the yard. I'll have to check with the boss, David, to see what is in the job jar. I take my leads from him. We may just sit in the sun on the back deck, sipping tea and enjoying the morning.
