Yesterday was a quiet day around the Dudley house. David had gone for Chemo on Tuesday and it pretty much wiped him out Tuesday evening and today. I opted not do do any yard work, because I knew that he would be out there trying to pitch in. He concentrated on some paper work that he had piling up and we sat out on the deck soaking up some sunshine and visiting during lunch. The heat finally drove us inside shortly after noon. We were both bare foot and let me tell you, walking across that deck was like walking on hot white beach sand or hot coals!! Needless to say we did a little hustling and couldn't get to the back door quick enough. He and Barbara headed into Hyannis in the afternoon for an appointment and to buy a new barbecue grill. There old one had bit the dust over the winter. I did a little reading in the afternoon while Robert tried to find out where our mail was. Our mail service forwarded our mail on Thursday the 20th - flat rate for a 2-3 day delivery and we had not received it yet. To make a long story short, when he went to the post office to check on it they told him that the mail man might not have left it because he did not recognize our name on the envelope as residing at my brother's house. The mail service has a record that they sent it. Robert talked to the mail carrier this morning and he said that he had not received it and if he had he would have delivered it. S0.... You can imagine that Robert is a "tad" upset and that means more phone calls back to the mail service in AJ this morning.

To add to his frustration, our camera seems to have crapped out on us. If it does manage to turn on, it goes through a start up menu, but won't save the settings. So every time you want to take a picture you have to go through the set up menu first and the date and time is not recorded. So.... there may not be too many more pictures until we get it fixed.
The good news is that Barbara and David returned from Hyannis with a new barbecue grill. The guys spent the latter part of the afternoon putting it together. It is a beauty!!! It did take a little longer than they expected to put it together, so the burgers on the grill scheduled for last evening got pushed back to tonight.
We had a quick moving storm move through last evening and it dropped a little rain and the temp about 20° here on the Cape. The clouds are suppose to move out by this afternoon - and the sun return.
