The day started off warmer than it has been but it was cloudy and didn't warm up very fast. We didn't use our furnace last night because since we had a electric hookup, we ran our small electric heated all night and it was about 62 in the trailer when we got up. We decided since we don't have a sewer hookup, we'd try to use the campground facilities as much as possible. While we were living in Wal Mart's parking without much water in our fresh water tank we were unable to take showers. So last night I decided to take a shower after supper. I found out that they not only didn't have the water and sewer at the sites, they must be conserving hot water in the showers also. I barely had luke warm water to shower with and the room didn't have much heat either. Judy decided to wait until this morning and had a little better luck. The tank must have filled with hot water over night before everyone used it up.

We took a little walk around the RESORT this morning and next door we found this paddle wheel out front sitting in the weeds. Don't know what the story with it is but thought it was interesting. While I was in the office getting Loonies, Toonies, and quarters for the washer and drier so we could do laundry, I asked the lady in there if taxis would come out this far. She said they would and ask where I needed to go. Well we're getting low on groceries so we need to go to the grocery store. She said if we could wait until after 3:00 PM, we could use her van. One thing we've found up here in the wilderness is that people really help each other out. So we'll wait until after 3:00 PM and take her van in to the store and the Ford dealer and see where we stand.
The sky today can't seem to make up it's mind One minute it's cloudy and then the sun comes out. We open our door to let some fresh air in and it gets cloudy again. Go figger.
We took a couple of one of the exclusive rental lodges here. Right now you can still reserve it for the winter rate of $99.00/night but you better get your request in because May 15th it goes to the summer rates of $199.00/night.

No kidding, there's someone staying in it. It has cable TV and everything. We finally got some rain today. After the last couple days looking like it was going to, this afternoon we got some rain and it sure cooled things down. Well it seemed like things cooled down but it reached a high of 66°.

We didn't make it to the grocery store after all. When we went to the office to check on the car the girl said we could use, it was locked and no one was around. We later saw her and she asked us if we wanted to go then but we'll wait until tomorrow. It's really hard getting used to the TV schedule here. After almost three weeks with no TV, we have cable here but the programs like "24" and "American Idol" that we watch come on at 4 or 5 in the afternoon since they come from Rochester, NY and the news comes on at 7:00 PM. I posted a map of our location but we haven't moved since last Friday and we may be here until next Friday or heaven forbid the following Friday.
