After we got done there, the courtesy driver brought us back to the 5th wheel at Wal Mart. By then the sun was out and the day was looking better. We decided, since we might be here longer than we thought, it would be best if we could get the 5th wheel towed to an RV park where we'd have water, sewer, and electric and hopefully internet so we could communicate with the OUTSIDE WORLD. We called the tow company that had pulled us in here but they couldn't pull a goose neck trailer. He gave us a number of another guy to try. All I got when I called him was a recording saying he was out of town until Tuesday evening but gave me a number of still another guy. When we called, he said he had a goose neck trailer himself and he could do it for $20.00. Needless to say we hired him. He showed up in about 20 minutes and hooked us up, towed us by a dump station where we dumped our tanks and then to the RV park that John had stayed at and that I had called earlier and reserved a spot. These parks are not completely open for the summer yet and all they have here is electric and WiFi. Of course they still charge summer rates but at least we're in a little better position for an extended stay. Bad thing is that instead of 7/10 mile to the Ford dealer we're about 3 1/2 miles. Too far for me to walk but they do have cab companies here. We checked on renting a car but at $55/day - I don't think so. The pictures we included, show the view of the Yukon River that we had from the spot where we were parked in the Wal Mart parking lot - not bad!! It gave us something to look at other than the comings and goings at Wal Mart. The evening manager at this Wal Mart was extremely understanding and had told us we could stay as long as we needed, however, we were getting low on water and needed to dump our holding tanks so we could not take him up on his offer. Here we sit now, biding our time and hoping that they can get at the truck earlier than next week.
