DAY 2 OF OUR ALASKAN ADVENTURES

We left Superstition Lookout RV Resort around 9am on our first leg of our trip. We had hoped to avoid the major rush hour traffic on the Superstition Freeway and Route 10 - wrong! Bob was calm cool and collect despite the crazy drivers at that hour of the morning and we got through Phoenix without any trouble. We ran into wind and cloudy skies on the West side of Phoenix that stayed with us all the way to Quartzite. We made pretty good time despite the head wind and pulled into Scaddan Wash - just East of Quartzite - at around 1230pm. What can I say about Scaddan Wash!! It is a large flat area in the desert that is usually packed with RV'ers in the winter, but was practically empty today. You can dry camp here for 14 days. We got set up, had some lunch and took a ride into "town", however, town was completely deserted.
We are heading out this morning to Claremont to visit Kevin, Romana, Christian, Juliana and Natalya for a few days. Kevin teaches at The Webb School and they are going to let us park the 5th wheel on campus. It is a beautiful campus and we will try to get some pictures to post while we are there. I hope the leg of our trip goes as well as yesterday.
