We headed into Glens Falls, Thursday morning, to Hill Electric (where Robert worked when we lived here) to pick up a breaker, wire, etc. so that Robert can run 30amp power for the 5th wheel. Actually, I think he just wanted to see who was still working there and harass the guys a little. It ended up that they did not have everything he needed, so we will head out again this morning to check at another electrical store. When we got back to Michelle's little place, he spent the majority of the day trying to trace wires in the basement. This house is a wiring nightmare. Who knows what code was when it was built years ago or if there was one. Not to mention what has been done since. I worked around outside in the yard and threw tennis balls for Possum to chase. She is one hyper Australian Shepherd and I was trying to wear her out.

In the evening, after Michelle got home from work, she had a dog agility class in the yard. Michelle has trained dogs for obedience and agility for years and she has an area in her yard with agility equipment. Most dogs love to do agility and many of the dogs she trains compete in agility competitions. There were 5 people with all different types of dogs there Thursday night.

The chocolate lab sitting patiently there in the one picture was amazing. His owner had given him a command to sit and stay. He walked away and left him there for 5 minutes. That dog did not move a muscle. Finally his owner gave the command to come and he shot out of that sitting position and headed right to him and sat.

After I took a few pictures, I took over Possum and she and I did the courses. Possum is well trained with Michelle and listens right then to her commands - no so much with me. She must know that I'm a push over. However, it is amazing what kind of effect a few treats will have on her. Once I had a pocket full of liver treats to dole out, she was a willing to work with me. It was fun. Robert had been dying for pizza for weeks, so he was in charge of ordering pizza for dinner. When it comes to pizza in this area, you had better know what they mean by
XLARGE. It arrived in a box that was probably 14inches by 24inches. We could have fed the entire agility class and had left overs. Needless to say, we will be eating left overs for days. It did make for a good laugh the rest of the evening.

Sounds like Robert will have plenty to keep him busy - how long does it take to rewire a house anyway? Glad you are settled in. It's a different type of summer excitement for you this year.
