We're headed home to Arizona

The weather is starting to get colder with daytime temperatures in the 70’s and nighttime in the 40’s. Fall is on it’s way and the leaves are starting to change colors. Our stay here in Durango has ended. Tomorrow, Sunday, will be our last day of work here. On Wednesday, October 1, we will leave Colorado and head back to Arizona. We have really enjoyed our stay here at Durango Riverside Resort and RV Park and we will miss all the people we met and worked with here. It is beautiful here and the mountains are unbelievably breathtaking. We are just disappointed we were not able to see more of them. Their size and majesty are impossible to put into words. To know what we are talking about, you have to see them for yourself.
We plan to stop at Mesa Verde National Park and visit the many Indian ruins there on our way home. That is another place we have wanted to see and just have not had the time to get there. We also may stop and camp a few days at Blue Ridge Reservoir. The head salesman here at Durango also works at Sedona Pines Resort in Sedona, Arizona and has invited us to stop and spend a few days there on him, which we may do but have not committed to yet. We are not in any hurry to get back to the Arizona heat but have to be back for doctor’s appointments in mid October.
Once back in Arizona, we do not have any definite plans as to what we will do. We may find some part time jobs to keep us busy also until we decide what our next adventure will be. We have been invited back to Durango next summer if we want to come and as much as we like the area, we would also like to see more of the country so our plans our still open to change. We are looking forward to getting back to Arizona and hope to make up for our absence and spent time with family, kids and grandkids.
