Not much has happened the last week. The campground has been pretty quiet with not many campers. I guess it always slows down this time of the year. Tuesday we decided to try fishing again. We loaded up and went back to Electra Lake where Judy caught a nice Rainbow trout. We spent the morning feeding sinkers, hooks and bobbers to the lake without as much as a bite. After about 5 hours, we gave up and left. We had to get Dharma more of her pain medicine so later in the day, we walked over to the vet’s and picked some up. Then we decided to walk down to Baker’s Bridge and take some pictures of the Animas River so we could show how much the river has slowed down since we got here. Since we don’t have a lot of people in the campground, we don’t have a lot to do so we’ve been helping another workamper refurbish the picnic tables. Most of them are in bad shape from lack of maintenance and all need painting and a lot need boards replaced. Some are so bad that they are taken apart and put in the burn barrel. Labor Day weekend is supposed to be busy again but that will probably be it for this season. We’ve been watching Workamper News for a new job when this one ends. We saw one that sounded pretty good and paid well for about 4 – 5 weeks selling pumpkins at Halloween and again at Christmas selling Christmas trees. The add said they had lots in California, Nevada and Arizona so we sent in an application. Yesterday we got a call from the company offering us a job in S. California outside LA. We really wanted something in AZ but found they didn’t have anything in AZ. We are not too hep on the idea of working a lot in the LA area so guess we’ll keep looking for something else. Not an emergency but if we can find something to pick a few bucks, it would be nice.
