We had pulled the 5th wheel out of Jim and Sharon's driveway earlier in the day - while they were at work. We had needed to dump our holding tanks and the nearest place was at a water treatment facility in Waupun, about 10 miles away. We had originally had to back up into their driveway by going over their neighbors lawn and driveway, we decided to park the 5th wheel in the Wal Mart parking lot for the night. We did not want to leave without saying goodbye and a special thank you to our hosts, so Jim, Sharon, Jenna, Robert and I gathered at one of Jim's favorite local Chinese Buffets for dinner. Kim joined us after she dropped her son and his friends off at the Home Coming football game. We had an enjoyable dinner and visit and had to say a sad goodbye to everyone. We woke up Saturday morning in the Wal Mart parking lot in Beaver Dam to a crisp 41 degrees and headed out shortly after 7am.

Ed Kulka had recommended US-151 and we were glad that we had taken his advice. We had smooth sailing even through Madison, Wisconsin. Going through down town proved easier than we had thought. We even managed to get a picture of the capital. We made it as far as Decatur City, Iowa and stopped for the night at a Shell Truck Stop. We woke to 37 degrees outside this morning and a chilly 47 degrees inside. It took awhile to get the blood circulating this morning. That warm weather in Arizona is beginning to sound wonderful. I'm not quite ready for these cold mornings - my old bones don't like it. The drive today was pretty boring. No more sight seeing - we are on the move now - potty breaks and lunch only. We made it to Blackwell, Oklahoma tonight and are parked in good old Wally World's parking lot. We will be back on the road tomorrow morning - heading to I-40 and onward to the sunny, Southwest.
